Michael started his career as a graduate assistant with the East Stroudsburg University Warriors baseball team. While at ESU the team participated in the NCAA D-II North Atlantic Region playoffs. He also had the Pitcher of the Year in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC). Michael also was the public address announcer for the men's and women's basketball games and men's volleyball games.
He than became the Head Baseball Coach, Lecturer in the Health & Physical Education Department, Intramural Director and Assistant Women's Basketball Coach at the NCAA D-III Penn State Behrend College Lions in Erie, Pennsylvania. Michael also called the men's basketball games on the local campus radio station.
Michael moved to Phillippi, West Virginia and Alderson Broaddus College as the Head Women's Basketball Coach, Lecturer in the Health & Physical Department, Assistant Volleyball Coach. The Battlers participated as a Division-I college in the NAIA and West Virginia Interscholastic Athletic Conference (WVIAC).
His next stop was NCAA D-II Gannon University in Erie, Pennsylvania. The Golden Knights participated in the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference. He was the Head Baseball Coach and Assistant Women's Basketball Coach.
Michael moved to Scottsdale, Arizona and became a Seminar Director for Health & Education Seminars. His sales development skills, business acumen, and speaking skills became a trade mark for his success in the seminar business. He also gave numerous private lessons to baseball and basketball players.
Missing the college campus dynamics, Michael took a job as the Head Women's Basketball Coach and Lecturer in the Health & Physical Education Department at Louisiana State University Eunice. He had success and took his teams to seven of his nine years to the NJCAA Region 23 District B playoffs. He also had a team that participated in the NJCAA National Tournament. He also had his own sports talk radio/T.V show for seven years. He also called the LHSAA Stae Championship 2A football game at the Super Dome, as well as, LHSAA State Boy's and Girl's Basketball Championships for a number of years.
Michael moved back to his old stomping grounds and became the Head Women's Basketball Coach at West Virginia Wesleyan College in Buckhannon, West Virginia now an NCAA Division-II institution in the Mountain East Conference.
The next stop came at Salem International University in Salem, West Virginia an independent NCAA Division-II institution as the Head Women's Basketball Coach.
After a two year hiatus Michael has developed his "COACH THE COACH" Program. He also is a polished speaker, presenter, trainer and sports consultant. Michael has had his own sports blog the last two years providing sports stories and news information. His show has two popular segment "MY TAKE" and "THE CONVERSATION"
